Tezanos, from Guatemala, is a driving force in contemporary photography. She is co-founder and director of the Center of Contemporary Photography, La Fototeca, and Festival GuatePhoto. Her photobook explores identity, existance in the universe, and personal history. . . Cartagena, working in Mexico, examines social, urban, and environmental issues through his use of portraiture and landcape.
